- RF. AlvarezAustin, TXArtist Page
RF. Alvarez (b. 1988) is an Austin, Texas-based artist whose practice explores the heritages of gender expectations and societal norms in relation to the queer body and its community. In paintings, drawings, and objects, RF. invites us to reflect upon intimacy through his deeply personal portrayal of queer lives. His mixed media approach experiments with the tactile nuance of material to convey layered meaning and expression. RF.'s process acts as a physical manifestation of the experience of suppression and memory, resulting in works that evoke a sense of excavation and discovery.
- Luckey RemingtonLos Angeles, CAArtist Page
Luckey Remington (b. 1978) is a Los Angeles, California-based multidisciplinary artist interested in exploring themes of transience, repetition, clarity, and order. He creates minimal works on paper, hand-dyed canvas, and free-standing public sculptures through a process-driven practice where he seeks to reduce compositions to their most minimal form. The compositions fluctuate between organic rounded shapes and straight-edged angles. The negative space surrounding the form is of equal, if not more, importance than the form itself. Luckey is heavily drawn to the allure of color and the diverse chromatic harmonies that are created when assembling these compositions.
- Kristin TexeiraBrooklyn, NYArtist Page
Kristin Texeira (b. 1988) is a Brooklyn, New York-based artist who creates painted abstractions of her interactions with both persons and places. Culled from decades of journaling and sketching, Kristin’s paintings create a lexicon of carefully crafted forms with a finely attuned sensitivity to color and surface. Kristin captures memories through map-like geometries that serve to reflect and record the world around her.
